Dansk Byg er totalentreprenør på 40 nye omsorgsboliger i og ved en fredet skolebygning, den tidligere Lyngby Statsskole.
Der blev i ugen op til påske holdt rejsegilde på byggeriet ved den tidligere Lyngby Statsskole i strålende solskin. Den majestætiske gamle skolebygning, der er blevet fredet i sit ydre, får i den tidligere skolegård selskab af tre nye punkthuse, som nu er kommet under tag. Lyngby-Taarbæk Kommune får hermed 40 nye omsorgsboliger til ældre medborgere, 26 indrettet i den gamle skolebygning og 14 i de nye punkthuse. Ved rejsegildet takkede borgmester Sofia Osmani håndværkerne og fortalte, at de ældre skal visiteres, men ikke behøver være syge for at kunne gøre sig håb om en af boligerne, der vil stå klar til november. Der er netop lagt op til, at beboerne skal være aktive og have glæde af hinandens selskab i de mange fællesrum, der indrettes. Midt i området bliver der en stor afskærmet have med stisystemer og opholdsarealer med bænke og vandkunst.
