Hos Dansk Byg har man udviklet et koncept for sponsoruddelinger, som høster stor ros fra både beløbsmodtagere og medarbejdere, idet medarbejdergrupperne på skift får lov til at disponere over en del af sponsorbudgettet. Erfaringen deler virksomheden nu med andre.

Alle, der driver en virksomhed, har prøvet at blive kontaktet af organisationer og privatpersoner, der mener at have en sag, som netop denne virksomhed bør støtte. Samtidig skal vi sikre, at sponsoraterne falder på et tørt sted, og at vi som virksomhed opnår en synlighed, der kan berettige investeringen. En del af udbyttet kan vi nu også måle i form af tilfredse medarbejdere, der får lov til at støtte en hjertesag, slutter Birger Dansk Byg.

Dansk Byg har en overordnet strategi om, at en del af sponsorbudgettet er øremærket til kræftbekæmpelse. Resten af årets sponsorbudget går på skift mellem medarbejdergrupperne. I 2015 var det således funktionærerne, der hver kunne uddele 3.000 kr. til det formål, de fandt mest nyttigt.

På denne måde kommer virksomheden ud og opnår synlighed på nye steder hvert år, og 3.000 kr., der kommer helt uventet, kan skabe meget glæde. Medarbejdernes valg er gået til mange forskellige velgørende formål, men med børn og sport som de absolutte topscorere. Når det gælder børnene, er det lige fra de yngste spejdere, der skal på spejderlejr for første gang, til de overvægtige børn, der får mulighed for at samle ny selvtillid på Julemærkehjemmene.
